Weaving together hope, despair, destruction and survival, award-winning writer Kim Scott, in his latest book Taboo, introduces a tale of the present heavily rooted in the past. In conversation with Anthony James, Scott dwells on the history of a small group of Aboriginal people and their re-connection with their language, lore and country.

At the heart of the Confluence Festival of India in Australia will be the Words on Water program, an international gathering of acclaimed writers, thinkers, and change makers coming together on one stage to engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue. This unique celebration of literature, arts and culture is brought to Australia by Teamwork Arts India, producers of the global literary phenomenon that is the Jaipur Literary Festival.
