A compelling session that explores journeys across Asia and Australia. Ben Stubbs is the author of the recent The Crow Eaters: A Journey Through South Australia, a record of his voyage of discovery in his own backyard and home state. He follows the history of the camels and cameleers who travelled to the Outback from Afghanistan and India in the 1860s. In conversation with Anthony James, Stubbs explores changing notions of travel and new ways to look at places far and near.
At the heart of the Confluence Festival of India in Australia will be the Words on Water program, an international gathering of acclaimed writers, thinkers, and change makers coming together on one stage to engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue. This unique celebration of literature, arts and culture is brought to Australia by Teamwork Arts India, producers of the global literary phenomenon that is the Jaipur Literary Festival.
