What would Australia look like in 2030 if we simply listened to the needs of its people? Regenerating Australia is the latest film from Damon Gameau, the award-winning director of 2040 and That Sugar Film. Regenerating Australia launches in March 2022 with a national tour of ‘special event’ cinema and community screenings across Australia. This screening event at the Rivoli in Camberwell will include a panel conversation hosted by Damon, with guests Anthony James, Simon Holmes à Court and Lisa Blundell.
Simon is the founder of Climate 200, a group of more than 7,300 Australians working to help community-backed independent candidates contest the next federal election. And he was a driving force behind the country’s first community-owned wind farm, Hepburn Wind, near Daylesford in Central Victoria.
Lisa is a nature conservationist with properties in Bowral, NSW; Jindabyne, NSW; and Avenel Victoria that offer refuge and protection for native birds and animals. She’s also a Director of the Barlow Impact Group, and the best-selling author of four novels.
This special event screening will be a chance to connect with others face to face and feel some much needed hope and inspiration as we discuss the steps we could take together to regenerate Australia over the next eight years.
